HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL CLASSIC  at Safeco Field!
Date: April 22
Time: 2:00 pm
Who: Garfield H.S. Bulldogs vs. Newport H.S. Knights
Come cheer on the Bulldogs as they take on Newport High on the same field where Ichiro, Robinson Cano and Ken Griffey Junior have made their marks.  Bring friends and family for this free game (ticket not needed).
Take transit (Link light rail to Stadium station) or park in the Safeco Field garage, south of the park. (Note – The Sounders are playing at Century Link, so the area will be crowded.)
See you at the ballgame!

Pay Online for Winter Baseball Workouts

The Garfield Diamond Sports Boosters, Sluggers fall ball coach Scott Honican and a few other Garfield parents and alumni will be offering winter workouts for potential Bulldogs ballplayers. These practices are optional and are not required for participation in the Garfield baseball program during the high school season. They are an opportunity to help get players ready for the spring season. The Garfield coaching staff has no role in these baseball workouts as they are during the out-of-season period. Here is the info you need to know:

SATURDAYS 12:00pm-2:00pm @ Garfield HS
  • Dates: January 6th, January 13th, January 20th, January 27th, February 3rd, February 10th, February 17th, February 24th
  • outdoor workout (wear sweatshirt or long-sleeve shirt + baseball pants, bring waterproof pullover)
  • bring water bottle, all defensive gloves, catchers gear, bats, molded rubber cleats -- no metal spikes allowed at Garfield

SUNDAYS 12:00-2:00pm @ Athletic Form (1031 6th Ave S)
  • Dates: January 7th, January 14th, January 21st, January 28th, February 4th, February 11th, February 18th, February 25th
  • indoor workout  (can be drafty in the facility so make sure you have a sweatshirt with you)
  • bring water bottle, all defensive gloves, catchers gear, bats, batting helmet, turf shoes -- no cleats of any kind allowed in the facility

Players should have adequate protection (athletic supporter & cup) for all baseball practices.

As usual, no sunflower seeds are allowed at Garfield or at Athletic Form -- this includes spitting seeds in a cup or bottle.

All players will need to fill out a liability waiver at Athletic Form in January on date of their first workout. Some of you that have already been using the facility with your select teams or for baseball lessons may already have taken care of this.

Cost is $60 per player.
Pay Here with Credit/Debit Card
Cash or check payable to "Garfield Diamond Sports Boosters" also will be accepted.

If the player fee is an issue, please talk to booster club president Steve Barker (garfielddiamondsb@gmail.com) concerning scholarship possibilities. Our booster club does not want cost to be an obstacle to participation for any player!

We realize these time slots may conflict with some of your select team baseball practices or baseball lessons with private instructors during the winter. It is impossible to find a slot that works for all 50 or so of you (and is not already reserved at Athletic Form). Hopefully you are able to participate if you are free during those weekend time frames.
Watch the slideshow created for the season-end banquet!
